Cyberpunk is a fun genre to play with. I did of course take inspiration from William Gibson's works, but my main exposure to cyberpunk as a kid was the Shadowrun franchise. The world is probably closer to Gibson's work, but I borrow a lot of the terminology from Shadowrun.
